Interrupted Again
So I was watching the Phils beat LA on Friday evening when I got a call from the Obama campaign in Delaware (I could tell from the caller ID). You might remember from the TODAY show that the Obama people also rang my buzzer during the Eagles game. (Meredith told Matt the story later on in the show.) When will these people learn?

well wait one second. I'm sorry but this election is about the future of the world with the United States as the sole remaining semi-super power. I think the NLCS game 3 can take a backseat to discuss issues...
Plus, its baseball. If it were the Super Bowl, maybe I could be empathetic. But I'm not. At all. Honestly, during that 3 minute phone call, what happened? 2 balls and a strike? A pop-up? A foul ball? Joe Buck talking about silly statistic that has to do with a full moon and what the pitcher ate for dinner the night before?
Elections are won on the ground and if Obama supporters give an inch you lose. So what if you missed 3 pitches, that campaign volunteer missed her entire Sunday afternoon because she thinks this election is worth talking to undecided strangers about. She is cold calling because she believes in her candidate that strongly. Maybe we can all take something away from this...
